Fashion Studies prepares students for the fast-paced, exciting world of the garment industry. A USDA report indicates there is an unmet demand for professionals in the fashion business, one of the largest and most vital industries in the U.S. today. This relatively young world is expanding rapidly; each day many new job opportunities become available to the person with enthusiasm, dependability, and the specialized training for executive responsibility.
The major in the Fashion Studies Program leads to entry-level career opportunities in fashion-related industries. Fashion Studies majors and minors must earn a grade of C (2.0) or higher in all Fashion Studies courses. The Fashion Studies program consists of four academic years.
